Genki 2012 is now over, and it was an awesome weekend. However, I had some stressful weeks before the convention.
I stayed at 's place for a week, where we finished our Ranma½ cosplays. We didn't get much sleep since we worked on them until the very day the con started – which resulted in a late arrival. Still we managed to finish and show off our costumes, even if it was only for a few hours.
Since we got there late, most people had already left – but at least we got a great photo shoot with the talented . I cosplayed as Shampoo and as Ukyo.

Saturday I cosplayed as Mileena from Mortal Kombat. I brought a friend with me to be my Kitana. It was her first time at a con, so I was glad to see that she enjoyed it and had a lot of fun. She won't start cosplaying on a regular basis (given the price range), but she would like to go again sometime.

Sunday and I cosplayed from Ranma½ again. After all the time and effort we had put in the costumes, we thought it would be a shame not to wear them again. Also we got another shoot with , this time in bright daylight.

Also I want to say thank you to my wonderful boyfriend being so patient with me and for always wanting to go to conventions with me <3

The next con I attend will be ConFusin (in Sweden) in December, which means I have plenty of time to relax – at least when it comes to cons and cosplays. The next Danish one will be J-Popcon in March.

For now I will be focusing on my apprenticeship, which I start on in September. I am really looking forward to start on it!
Therefore the long breaks between the upcoming cons are coming a good time. Then I will be able to focus on my new work!
